Canton - Whipple Ave Grinders Above & Beyond: Experience Exceptional Grinders and Homemade Goodness

Great service and everyone thought their food was especially good! Grinders were: Eastern, turkey Rueben, Pedro's pick. Baked spaghetti, garlic bread, chopped salad.

I ordered the meatball sub. Large meatballs, good flavor but lukewarm temperature. We did have a party of 8, but that should not be an excuse. That is the reason for the 4 stars on food. We were on a timeline, so I did not ask for the food to be reheated or a new one to be made. They would likely have done so as our waitress was very nice.

Any Grinder sandwich is a good Grinder! I had their salad.And I had their soup. But I always loved their sandwiches! My whole family loves Grinders and it doesn’t take much to see why. I highly recommend this place! It can be very busy (especially certain hours) but you will get some quality experience and some seriously tasty quality food!

Food & service fine, but the interior rambles from room to room. Awkward for handicap access. Rooms are noisy during peak times. The AC was blasting COLD air onto our table whilst trying to cool the rest of the building. Parking access is bad, minimal spots near the South entry doors, a shared alley way with adjoining business.

One of the best spots in town. Their grinders are incredible and available cold or toasted. Their soups, dressings, and desserts are all homemade. Everything is very reasonably priced. This is a very well managed operation. Top notch through and through. Highly recommended!

My Girl was in from out of town & I was happy to share with her the Stark County Gem that is Grinders & Such. Started with the Lg Sputnik (half & half, w/sour cream & Russian). Trust me u wanna say it like that. Gone so fast my only pic was leftovers in the foreground of my sandwich. She had the Asian Salad w/Terriyaki Chicken & I did Steak & Bacon Grinder add Russian dressing on the side. Everything was perfectly constructed & delicious

Mom hates chicken, but she wanted to taste my wedding soup. I had to order another cup because she didn't give it back! It is really good. The grinders were all excellent, the service spot on, the place was very clean, and they even tried to get the Olympics on one of their big screens for us but weren't getting the channel. Kudos for the try though. Prices were higher than fast food sub places, but this is a sit down meal. Homemade chips... get them! We didn't have room for pie, but got some anyway. I don't know what you call it but the cross between a gel, a creme, and perhaps a tiny touch of Heaven made me wish I had gotten the lemon mom and my wife got. I got only one taste. It was so memorable, I completely forget what I ordered, which I only remember being good.
